Tyler Compston

“Walking through the front door the first time is the hardest part.”

How long have you been a member at CrossFit Morgantown?

A little over a year.

Why did you join?

To improve my fitness and make friends.

What do you love most about CrossFit Morgantown? / What keeps you coming back each month?

I enjoy getting my butt kicked every day and the fellowship. I was a tub when I started, but it becomes addicting when you begin to see and feel your movements improving. I had a bad first experience at another CrossFit gym, but Jeff and the staff here at CFM really work with you to make sure you’re moving safely.

What is your current occupation? And/or what are some hobbies, clubs, groups, or activities you participate in?

I am Landman in the Oil and Gas Industry, I like to play golf, snowboard, and eat at all the local restaurants in town.

Who inspires you?

Everybody at CFM. We’re all different but we come in here and struggle together.

How has improved fitness impacted your life?

Fitness has made me a more confident person. My line of work is basically a sales job so it helps to be confident.

What’s one thing – either fitness related or not – you learned in the last month?

Thanksgiving turkey is best made in a smoker. Shoutout Eric Buda.

What would you say to someone you love to encourage them to try out CFM?

Walking through the front door the first time is the hardest part.
