How long have you been a member at CrossFit Morgantown?
I joined CrossFit Morgantown when my family moved back to Morgantown in July of 2014.
Why did you join?
I’d been a member of a CrossFit gym where I‘d previously lived, so it was a priority of mine to find a place to continue my CrossFit journey. Some good friends of mine were already members of CrossFit Morgantown, so I joined here.
What do you love most about CFM? / What keeps you coming back each month?
The positive and supportive community, the fantastic coaching, and great workouts keep me coming back each month.

4) What is your current occupation? And/or what are some hobbies, clubs, groups, or activities you participate in?
I am a “retired” RN. I stopped nursing to stay home with my 4 children. Although they are older now, I still don’t have time to work outside the house!

6) How has improved fitness impacted your life?
Improved fitness has boosted my confidence and overall sense of worth, immensely. As someone who has battled with anxiety and depression, CrossFit Morgantown is my therapy. The feeling of accomplishment I get after finishing a tough workout gives me the energy and confidence to know that I can do just about anything I set my mind to. In a nutshell, it’s empowering.
7) What’s one thing – either fitness related or not – you learned in the last month?
I learned that Annie Thorisdottir, my favorite CrossFitter, is expecting a baby! It will be exciting to follow her throughout her pregnancy.
8) What would you say to someone you love to encourage them to try out CFM?
CrossFit is for anyone, at any fitness level, at any age. And the people, specifically at CrossFit Morgantown, are helpful, encouraging, inspiring and cool! You won’t regret giving it a try.
