How long have you been a member at Community Fitness of Morgantown?

I joined in July 2019.

 

Why did you join?

Vicky Jones told me about the community workouts on Saturdays, so I started attending those. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and structure of CFM.

 

What do you love most about Community Fitness of Morgantown? / What keeps you coming back each month?

I love the way I feel, mentally and physically, after completing a workout at CFM. It is so rewarding knowing that I have accomplished something I never imagined I could do. But I would not be able to accomplish these workouts if it weren’t for the encouragement from Jeff, and the motivation from everyone else at CFM. The uplifting and positive atmosphere is unlike anything I have ever experienced.

What is your current occupation? And/or what are some hobbies, clubs, groups, or activities you participate in?   

I am currently a school-based probation officer in all of the high schools in Monongalia County. I’m also pursuing my master’s in legal studies. I love to travel and explore new cultures. I’m supposed to be getting married in Costa Rica, if COVID ever ends. I also love keeping my hands busy with house projects and gardening (I’m an old lady at heart).

 

Who inspires you?

Honestly, watching everyone at CFM inspires me everyday to keep coming and keep pushing. I have never been around such an incredible group of people.

 

How has improved fitness impacted your life?

When I first started coming to CFM I didn’t have a ton of self confidence. By challenging myself at CFM, I have really evolved into a person that I am happy with. I have grown to become a lot more confident as a person, which reflects greatly in my work life and home life.

 

What’s one thing – either fitness related or not – you learned in the last month?

I learned that I can push my body and myself to do things that are outside of my comfort zone, and the outcome is always worth it.

 

What would you say to someone you love to encourage them to try out CFM? 

CFM has changed my life in so many ways, and I’m confident that it will better your life as well if you give it a chance!
