“Crossfit has changed my perception of beauty, particularly feminine beauty. Before Crossfit, being thin was the goal. Now, being strong and healthy is goal.”
How long have you been a member at CrossFit Morgantown?
I have been a member at Crossfit Morgantown for 6 months
Why did you join?
Great gym culture.
What do you love most about CFM? / What keeps you coming back each month?
I enjoy the people at CFM. I come back each month because the gym is perfect for my current fitness goals. Having just had a baby, I just want to sweat a little and push myself from time to time without the pressure of needing to constantly perform at my peak. I get just that through thoughtful and sympathetic coaching.

4) What is your current occupation? And/or what are some hobbies, clubs, groups, or activities you participate in?
I am Manager of Marketing and Outreach of the Morgantown Public Library System. Follow us on Facebook. Also, I am a classically trained pianist and was once a professional cheerleader. While my life has changed quite a bit, I try to dabble in dance and music whenever I can find the time.
5) Who inspires you?
uh….it’s like picking your favorite song. Everyone inspires me?
6) How has improved fitness impacted your life?
Aside from the health benefits of leading a more active lifestyle, Crossfit has changed my perception of beauty, particularly feminine beauty. Before Crossfit, being thin was the goal. Now, being strong and healthy is goal.
7) What’s one thing – either fitness related or not – you learned in the last month?
With all the short athletes competing for the 3 low pull-up bars in the gym, I finally did pull-ups on a barbell anchored to the rig with bands…and I didn’t hurt myself! I learned I could jury-rig a pull-up bar if space is running low.
8) What would you say to someone you love to encourage them to try out CFM?
Want to feel tough? I do! I throw around weights and swing on bars and try not to embarrass myself in front of others and that seems to do the job.
